Standard Bearers German 38T Tank Project

The German T38 project base vehicle started out as a FV434 with REME
Powered by a Rolls Royce 2 stroke, 6 cylinder, twin crankshaft, diesel, 240 bhp motor.

FV434 Two of these vehicles were imported into Australia and altered dramaticaly to represent Japanese Type 97 CHI-HA medium WW2 tanks for the production "The Great Raid" filmed in Queensland.	Japanese Type 97 CHI-HA Medium Tank The Major alterations that were carried out on the vehicles for the film made an ideal base for the German T38 project.	The second repo Chi-Ha used in the film is still on display at the Gold Coast War Museum
